Designed for breaking out into a white powder world, the Arcteryx Stinger Jacket for men features an improved powder skirt with gripper elastic to keep it in place. Upgraded with GORE-TEX® Pro Shell, the Stinger Jacket boasts the latest evolution of this trusted waterproof and breathable fabric. Delivering classic GORE-TEX® XCR waterproof protection, the Pro Shell is now stronger and more breathable. Watertight zippers ensure weather protection, and two-way pit zippers keep the body core temperature balanced when booting to a ridge top. The high collar of the Stinger Jacket features an internal cinch and helmet compatible Stow Hood. A Recco reflector allows for quick detection in the unlikely event of an off piste avalanche. With two hand pockets, a large internal pocket, chest pocket, and sleeve pocket, the ArcTeryx Stinger Jacket has enough storage space to keep you supplied all day long.

Great ski shell Finally, this is a ski shell that is designed 100% for skiing and not for some kind of climbing/skiing/backcountry cross-over. High collar works for blocking out wind. The materials and cut are typical Arcteryx- bomber-proof, minimalist and simple. The sizing is on the generous side. I am a Large in other Arcteryx jackets, but Med Stinger fits me well and the Large is clearly too big. The only gripe is that the color palettee is limited and they don't make it in Red, that's appartently reserved to the CMH version.

Best waterproof jacket I bought an ALPHA SV jacket (2006 version). I would like to buy a new GORE-TEX PRO shell jacket with a collar with internal cinch. The STINGER jacket is the only jacket meeting the requirement. The fabrics are stronger than that of the ALPHA LT jacket.

Best Ski Outer ever long time marmot fan, but couldnt resist the features of this shell...........it has held up to one season of "sierra sludge" snow as damp as it gets and did great. several small gripes......would have preferred a two way front zip to get a little extra thigh room, and a larger inside pocket to hold goggles but these are minor. this jacket totally rocks its wind and water proof and looks great as well!
