Otherwise excellent shoe; poor sole for wet conditions Love the fit, the support, the firm cushioning (great overall control with this shoe), the breathability and drainage. The sole is great on varied terrains; BUT TERRIBLE when wet!!! On smooth dry rock, there's much more slippage than with other trail runners. On wet rock, downright dangerous. If you run/hike on rock in wet conditions, the risk negates the value of all the other great features.

QUALITY YOU'VE COME TO EXPECT FROM NORTH FACE 2ND PAIR; STURDY, LIGHTWEIGHT - SOLID CONSTRUCTION; COMFORTABLE FOR 8+ HOURS. LOOKS GREAT ALSO; MY 1ST PAIR ARE OVER 5 YEARS OLD with MINIMAL SIGNS OF WEAR; PURCHASED THIS PAIR FOR A DIFFERENT COLOR..AWESOME SHOE!!
