Description

Burton: Women's Emerald Snowboard Boots - Altrec.com Product Description:

Explore all sides of the mountain with the improved comfort elements in Burton's Women's Emerald all-terrain snowboard boot. The Women's Emerald is an excellent multi-purpose snowboard boot with just enough stiffness to suit intermediates and advanced riders without taking anything away from aggressive new riders who want the right gear their first season. The Emerald has Burton's proven and popular Speed Zone Lacing, which Burton claims (possibly quite rightly so) is the fastest and easiest lacing system currently available to snowboarders. While most high-end boot closures allow you to adjust independently the upper and lower (zonal) tension, Burton's Speed Zone Lacing can be adjusted in seconds while waiting in lift lines or for your friends to catch up. The Emerald also has a new lightweight outsole with oversized 270-degree Airbag cushioning along the heel area. The cushion helps dampen vibrations so you enjoy more cushion with potentially better board feel. Another new feature is the heat-moldable Imprint 2 Liner with Burton's proven female-specific True Fit Design. While Burton improved the overall support in the liner, one of our favorite features in the Emerald boot thankfully stayed the same--those nifty Hot Pockets (neoprene sleeves for disposable chemical warmer pouches) that help take the chill off the ultra-cold days in the alpine. If you like to ride all sides of the mountain--or if you aspire to do it after you master the blue runs, the Emerald will sparkle for you.

  • Burton "support" rating: 6 on a scale of 1 to 10
  • Intended for intermediate and advanced women freestyle all-mountain riders
  • Neat and clean Speed Zone lacing system for zonal lacing control and improved support where you need it
  • Imprint 2 Liner with female-specific True Fit Design, Power Panel and Quick-Fit lacing harness
  • Hot Pockets for adding handwarmers inside the boot liner
  • Power Spine backstay with medium flex Thin Profile 3D molded tongue
  • Level 1 molded EVA footbed
  • New lightweight outsole with Burton 270-degree Airbag Cushioning for impact absorption

Great Boot I have this same boot and I love them. I am a 3 year boarder and haven't had any issues. I agree that the boot does loosen up after some use; however, I find that normal in most snow sport footwear. I would recommend this boot to any lady who wants comfort, warmth, and (hee hee) to look good on the slopes.

Amazing Boot I have consistently bought DC boots for riding (and have not a single complaint against those) but decided to widen my range this year and came across this boot. It is a fantastic boot and has relaxed any of my fears of switching from a known and trusted brand. This boot is warm, comfortable, and yes (although not an important selling point for me) quite pretty. Riding a variety of terrains, this boot has proved versatile enough to provide good comfort on each. My feet never get cold (big selling point for me) and the way the boot hugs your foot is amazing. My only suggestion in purchasing this boot...get it a size too small, or even half a size too small. After riding for a couple days, they really relax and although the inner liner stays nice and tight, the desing doesn't allow for extra tightening on the outer lacing. However, if you find youself in this position, any sporting good store will be able to outfit you with either an instep/sole or additional inner liner which rectifies the problem wuite nicely. All in all 5 out of 5 stars from me on this boot.

These are the ones! I finally broke down and bought boots this year and these are the ones to own. I have a very narrow foot and these fit tight in the heel, so no more heel lifting. I'm sure they will soften after use, but they get an A+ in my book!
